When to go to Courchevel
The busiest and most sought-after weeks are Christmas and New Year, the early January holidays and the February school holidays.

Getting to Courchevel
The nearest airport is Chambéry, around an hour and a quarter by road. Geneva and Lyon are both around two hours away. By train, the nearest station is Moûtiers, about 25 km below the resort. Saturday changeover days can be very busy on the road up.
Many guests complete the journey by helicopter, a flight of around 20 to 35 minutes from Chambéry or Geneva. Courchevel also has its own altiport, at 2,008 metres, one of the most famous mountain airfields in the world, with a short, steeply sloping runway reserved for specially qualified pilots.
Beyond skiing
Courchevel offers plenty to do off the slopes: the Aquamotion aquatic centre, with its wellness area, the ice rink and bowling alley at the Forum, dog sledding, paragliding, snowshoeing, tobogganing, torchlight descents, and plane and helicopter flights over the mountains.
